spring. Kumiko Kumae, a third-year member of the Kitauji High School brass band and head of the band, had both her hopes and fears. What kind of new members will come to the club? Will she be able to unite everyone as her manager? Will she be able to achieve her long-awaited goal of winning the national championship gold medal? With these thoughts in mind, Kumiko spends her days working hard as her manager, but a big wall appears in front of her as a player as well. Mayu Kuroe transferred from a strong school that regularly participates in national tournaments. The instrument in her hands is the same as Kumiko’s – a euphonium. She is a perfect girl who is admired by everyone around her for her gorgeous tone, outstanding playing technique, and gentle personality. However, Kumiko feels an indescribable feeling when she sees Mayu’s shadow. She says, “It’s just a club activity, so I don’t think it’s something to hold on to.” How will Kumiko face Mayu? And her youth, which she dedicated to her brass band, is nearing the end of her graduation. “Let’s go, everyone!” Kumiko’s last year of high school begins!
