Anime “Spice and Wolf MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF” Episode 1 advance scene cut & synopsis released!
Finally, today, ahead of the first broadcast of the anime “Spice and Wolf Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf” which will start broadcasting on TV Tokyo and other channels from 25:30 on Monday, April 1, 2024, ClariS will sing the ending theme “Andante”. ‘s non-credit ending has been released.
Spice and Wolf, a very popular light novel published by KADOKAWA Dengeki Bunko, won the 12th Dengeki Novel Award (Gold Prize) and celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2021. Currently, the cumulative circulation of the series has exceeded 5 million copies, and the sequel Spice and Wolf Spring Log'' and the spin-off seriesShinsetsu Spice and Wolf Wolf and Parchment” have been published, not only in Japan but also overseas. However, this work is very popular.
The completely new anime project “Spice and Wolf Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf,” announced as the finale project for the series’ 15th anniversary, is scheduled to be broadcast in April 2024. Passione is in charge of animation production. It has also been announced that Jun Fukuyama (voice of Craft Lawrence) and Ami Koshimizu (voice of Holo), who were voice actors in the previous anime series, will be continuing their roles.
This work will finally begin broadcasting on TV Tokyo and other channels from 25:30 on Monday, April 1st. Prior to the first broadcast, the non-credit ending of the ending theme “Andante” sung by ClariS was released. Along with ClariS’ bright singing voice, the ending video expresses the journey of Lawrence and Holo in a pop style. The ending illustration is by character designer Ju Fumikura.
Furthermore, ahead of the anime broadcast, it has been decided that the song “Andante” will be distributed from 24:00 today, April 1st (Monday).

<Synopsis>
Lawrence, a peddler, stopped by the village of Pasloe, where the harvest festival was just around the corner, to trade wheat.
However, Yarei, the negotiator he is looking for, is trapped due to the custom of worshiping the god of abundance, Holo, and is unable to meet him.
Lawrence has no choice but to leave the village and that night, he meets a girl who sneaks into the wagon.
She has her own animal ears and a splendid tail, and she calls herself “Holo”, the same as the village god.

<STORY>
Craft Lawrence, a young peddler, spends his days selling goods from town to town, with a horse as his partner to pull his cart.
One day, he visits a small village surrounded by golden wheat fields and meets a beautiful girl with ears and a tail.
“My name is Holo.”
Holo, who calls himself the “Wise Wolf”, is the embodiment of the wolf that rules over fertility.
Hearing her desire to return to her hometown of Yoitsu Forest, which is supposed to be far north, Lawrence and Holo become companions on a business trip heading north.
However, the peddler’s journey is full of unexpected ups and downs…
The carriage carrying the lonely peddler and the lonely wolf now begins to run noisily.

Peddler Lawrence finds a girl sleeping in the back of a carriage, buried in a bundle of grains. She was a beautiful girl with wolf ears and a tail, and she called herself Holo, the god of abundance. “I was called a god, but I’m nothing but Holo.” Lawrence is at the mercy of Holo, who is skillful at speaking like an old man. Although she was skeptical that she was really the Wolf God of Fertility, she agreed to go on her journey with Holo. The two begin their journey towards Yoitsu, Holo’s hometown.
