■Kenichi Suemitsu (series composition/screenplay) comment
A stage adaptation of the game “Touken Ranbu ONLINE”. More than seven years have passed since we continued to stage performances, groping in the dark, based on an original idea that did not reveal the detailed story. I counted 15 works so far. The work of delving into this vast and profound world has brought me many hardships and many new insights. I was surprised when I was told that the first part of the project, StageTouken Ranbu” Kōden: Burning Honnoji,” would be reconstructed and made into an anime. Is there any point in turning the stage version into an anime when there are already two anime projects ahead of it? In order to find its meaning within myself, I needed to face the fictional story again, not just as an animated stage version, but just as I faced the game in order to launch the stage version. We are honored to be able to share this with you as another Honmaru story.

■Mikazuki Munechika (CV: Kosuke Toriumi)

■Kosuke Toriumi comment

This is Kosuke Toriumi, who plays Munechika Mikazuki. I am very happy and filled with excitement to be able to participate in the new Touken Ranbu anime series and to be able to see Mikazuki Munechika in action for the first time in a while.
I hope everyone will look forward to the story of this series and the activities of the swordsmen.
Thank you for your support for “Touken Ranbu Kai -Kouden Burning Honnoji-“.

■Kunihiro Yamabagiri (CV: Tomoaki Maeno)

■Tomoaki Maeno comment

I’m very happy to see them in action again in the animation, and I’ve heard that many people say that the StageTouken Ranbu” Kōden Burning Honnoji” stage, which is the foundation of this work, is especially memorable among the many stages. I am.
It’s a very dramatic story about a swordsman with a connection to Nobunaga who develops bonds through various conflicts and leads to growth, and Kunihiro Yamanbagiri is no exception, as he continues on his own path even though he is at a loss. I can’t help but feel warm when I see him go.
Not only does it have to be enjoyed by everyone, but when you see the cast members who share the same aspirations in stage plays and musicals, you’ll notice that Kunihiro Yamanbagiri in the anime version is just as cool. I went into the dubbing with a strong desire to make people think that way. Please look forward to it.

■Sozo Samonji (CV: Yasushi Yuuki)

■Yasu Courage Comment

I had the pleasure of seeing the play that this anime is based on. I was surrounded by a strange feeling of emotion as the words I had acted in came from the stage, and I thought to myself, “What would it be like if this story were to be told in an anime?” I was very surprised.
It is one of the most important episodes related to Lord Oda Nobunaga, so in that sense, I am very happy that it has been made into an anime.
I think one of the appeals of anime is being able to see the interactions between the swordsmen, so I hope that the world of Touken Ranbu will expand even further from here.

■ Yukimitsu Fudo (CV: Daisuke Sakaguchi)

■Daisuke Sakaguchi comment

This is an anime adaptation of “Stage ‘Touken Ranbu’ fictional story Burning Honnoji Temple”! I often hear about anime being adapted into a stage play, but this time it’s the other way around.
Although there were some difficult parts, I had fun thinking about how to combine the Fudou Yukimitsu that I created and the Fudou Yukimitsu that Taizo Shiina has cultivated on stage.
I went into the set thinking that I could make use of the pure, straightforward, unwavering character I have on stage, while also adding my own color.
I’m proud of myself and think it turned out pretty good (lol). The work retains the quality of the stage play while adding the fun aspects of the anime.
Please look forward to it!

■Heshikiri Hasebe (CV: Tarusuke Aragaki)

■Comment from Tarusuke Aragaki

I’m excited that Touken Ranbu will be adapted into a new anime.
And I’m even more excited to be performing there!
This time, the internal conflicts and changes of the swordsmen are deeply involved in the story, so I feel that their “hearts” are portrayed more delicately.
I think the way they are portrayed makes us feel closer to them.
I’m sure everyone watching will be able to immerse themselves in the story from the perspective of a swordsman.
Please enjoy it to the fullest!

■Toshiro Yagen (CV: Seiichiro Yamashita)

■Seiichiro Yamashita comment

It’s been a while since I’ve appeared in a Touken Ranbu anime. I’m happy to be able to fight alongside Toshiro Yagen again, and my blood boils with excitement. I had the opportunity to see “Koden” on stage before, and it was a truly wonderful experience. I’m happy to be able to relive that experience with “Mawari,” and I hope everyone will pay attention to the presentation and production that is unique to anime. From now on, we look forward to your continual support!
