New character information released
Along with the release of the first PV, information on new characters and new cast members was also released.
It has been decided that Kana Ichinose will play the role of Hikaru Ouzaki, who becomes the rival of the main character, Inori Tsujie, and Yuma Uchida will play the role of the legendary genius skater Jun Yotaka. Special comments have also arrived from the two.
Hikaru Osaki CV: Kana Ichinose

All Japan Novice B (*) women’s singles gold medalist. She is called a “genius girl” because she uses highly difficult jump compositions as her weapon. She becomes friends with Inori, who is the same age as her, when they meet for the first time. She is Inori’s goal, and she is his spiritual rival whom he hopes to fight someday. *A class younger than Novice/Senior and Junior. It is further divided into A and B based on age.
Comment from Kana Ichinose, who played the role of Hikaru Ouzaki

I read the original story at the time of the audition, and it was so interesting that I remember reading the latest edition all at once. I really like Tsurumaikada-sensei’s drawings because they convey the characters’ emotions powerfully and directly. And every time I read it, I was moved by Noori’s strong and honest determination to never give up no matter the situation, and at times I cried and gained courage. And the person I will be playing, Hikaru Okazaki, is a child who is called a genius girl. But Hikaru-chan is also a girl, so her impressions are different when she’s at the rink and when she’s not around. I will do my best to play Hikaru-chan! I would be happy if you could watch Medalist!

Jun Yotaka CV: Yuma Uchida

Olympic gold medalist in men’s singles. He was a genius skater who won gold medals in every competition he participated in and left a legacy behind. Although he retired from active duty at the age of 20, he had a great influence on his master.
Yuma Uchida comment as Jun Yotaka

My name is Yuma Uchida and I will be voicing Jun Yotaka in the TV anime “Medalist.” This work is hot! ! The sight of Inori and Tsukasa working towards the same dream is inspiring. On the other hand, Yotaka is a former gold medalist. Although he left a legend in the figure skating world with his solid ability, he was a solitary existence. He confronts his opponents with an ice-cold attitude. I’d like to see his relationship with light and his own secret thoughts, but it seems like there’s something deeper there. Please look forward to the TV anime “Medalist”.
